Propter solubilitatem excellentem, ut solvens et diluens ad picturas delendas adhiberi potest. Propter stabilitatem chemicam, etiam ut solvens inertiae syntheticae organicae adhiberi potest.
Praeter usum supra memoratum,DEDMAdhibi potest ut solvens picturae aquasolubilis, adaequans corii et fibrae, adaequans in photographia vel impressione, et solvens polaris aproticus in synthesi organica.

TRIEDMIn reactione synthesis organicae ut solvens cum alto puncto ebullitionis adhiberi potest. Etiam ut agens desulfurans vel decarbonans pro ammonia synthetica vel gaso naturali adhiberi potest.

TETREDMAdhibetur ut solvens optimus hydridi metalli alcalini et in combinatione alkylorum vel reactione chemica recirculationis.
