Eigenschappen

Gas met een ammoniakachtige geur bij normale temperatuur. Smeltpunt -92,2 °C, kookpunt -6,9 °C, soortelijk gewicht 0,68. Gemakkelijk oplosbaar in alcohol, ether, water, enz. Licht ontvlambaar.

Toepassingen

Wordt gebruikt voor de productie van DMF, waterzuiveringsmiddelen, oppervlakteactieve stoffen, pesticiden, dimethylaminoethanol, enz.

Verpakken en opslaan

Watervrije dimethylamine: gebruik een tankwagen of stalen cilinder; dimethylamine-oplossing: gebruik een metalen emmer van 200 liter. Goed afgesloten bewaren op een koele en geventileerde plaats, uit de buurt van zonlicht en apparaten die gemakkelijk statische elektriciteit opwekken, en voorkom stoten en trillingen.
