OTAC is een kationische oppervlakteactieve stof. Het is gemakkelijk oplosbaar in isopropylalcohol, oplosbaar in water en produceert veel schuim bij schokken. Het heeft uitstekende penetratie-, verzachtende, emulgerende, antistatische, biologisch afbreekbare en steriliserende eigenschappen.
1. OTAC is compatibel met zwitterionische en niet-ionische oppervlakteactieve stoffen en kationische polymeren, maar niet compatibel met anionische oppervlakteactieve stoffen.
2. OTAC wordt hoofdzakelijk gebruikt als textielverzachter, haarconditioner, cosmetische emulgator, egalisatiemiddel, antistatisch middel, waterkwaliteitsverbeteraar en kledingdesinfectiemiddel; het kan ook worden gebruikt voor asfaltemulsificatie en waterdichte coatingemulsificatie, glasvezelverzachting en als additief voor de olie-industrie, enz.
