Oplosbaar in olie en andere organische oplosmiddelen; dispergeerbaar in water; goede emulgerende eigenschappen; als W/O-emulgator in de algemene industrie; algemeen gebruikt als reinigingsmiddel voor textiel en metaalindustrie, als PAN-middel voor het koken van zeep, als egalisatiemiddel voor kationische kleurstoffen; gebruikt als antistatisch middel op transportbanden voor kunststofproducten.
