PKO12 can react with hydrogen peroxide to produce amine LAO, which is used as foaming agent, foaming agent and surfactant in oil field and daily chemical industry.

PKO12 can also be quaternized with methyl chloride, dimethyl sulfate and diethyl sulfate.
