Tetraammineplatinum(II) chloride hydrate CAS 13933-32-9
Dichlorotetramine platinum is an important raw material for the preparation of other platinum containing compounds and is often used in electroplating and catalyst preparation. Dichlorotetramine Chemicalbook platinum was prepared from platinumhexachloride (IV) acid, and an important step of the reaction was to reduce it to platinumhexachloride (II) acid. The traditional method used sulfur dioxide as reducing agent was easy to produce sulfate impurities, which affected the purity of the product.
