| Application |
1.It is used as plasticizer of nitrocellulose and cellulose acetate, solvent of resin, rubber, wax, artificial musk, etc.
2.It is used as moderate antioxidant. 3.As a by-product in the preparation of benzyl alcohol by hydrolysis of benzyl chloride; by using a concentrated caustic instead of carbonate, yields can be improved to 50% or higher. |
