1,5-naphthalene diisocyanate (NDI) is a kind of polyurethane (PU) synthesized by diisocyanate. Compared with MDI and TDI, NDI with higher melting point, high molecular rigidity, regularity, and symmetry, which can fundamentally improve the degree of phase separation of polyurethane, making NDI-based polyurethane obtain more excellent mechanical and physical properties. NDI-based polyurethane has high wear resistance, high heat resistance, corrosion resistance and excellent dynamic properties, and is mainly used in high dynamic load and heat resistance occasions.
NDI (1,5-Naphthalene Diisocyanate) is a raw material of advanced polyurethane, which can be used to manufacture polyurethane elastomer with high elasticity and high hardness. NDI polyurethane elastomer has excellent performance. It has incomparable performance with any other polyurethane elastomer, such as excellent dynamic performance, extremely high mechanical performance, excellent cutting resistance, wear resistance and temperature resistance. Therefore, NDI polyurethane elastomers are widely used in automobile shock absorbers, forklift bearing wheels, printing and dyeing textile rubber rollers, rubber scrapers, bridge construction buffer blocks, military industry, etc.
The castable elastomer made by NDI has excellent dynamic characteristics and wear resistance, and with small damping, high resilience, and less internal heat. It can be used in high dynamic load and heat resistant occasions. Molded products made of NDI have high tear strength, low abrasion, low compression set and excellent resilience. NDI-based microporous polyurethane elastomer products have low endogenous heat, small permanent deformation and good rigidity under dynamic load. This special microporous polyurethane material is mainly used for automobile shock absorption and cushioning components.
