Imidazolidinyl Urea (IMU, CAS 39236-46-9) is a broad-spectrum water-soluble cosmetic preservative. It inhibits the growth of bacteria, yeast and fungi via slow-release formaldehyde. Featuring excellent compatibility, it can be compounded with parabens and other preservatives for lotions, creams, shampoos, facial masks and all water-based personal care products. Application

● It can be used in creams, lotions, shampoos, wet wipes and other kinds of resident and wash-off products
● Generally recommended dosage is 0.2～0.5%
● The use range of pH value is 3～9, and it can be added in a wide temperature range (<80℃)
● It can be used in conjunction with parabens and IPBC to enhance its anti-corrosion effect
● Compatible with various surfactants, proteins and most cosmetic ingredients
